Their challenges

• Administrative burden: Export & import documents (in pdf format) need to be processed for customs clearance. Typically a manual labor and error-prone process where (back office) employees copy-pasting the relevant information into the TMS.
• Need to quickly develop and implement solutions to digitize and automate this administrative burden for Brexit and other use cases.

• Standard OCR solutions not suitable: extracting data from highly unstructured logistical documents across different countries & languages with available OCR solutions gives inaccurate results, leading to much manual (re)work.
• Integration with existing TMS is required to make it a seamless process (integration of field hit ratio) and ensure ease of maintenance.
• Need for a solid business case to warrant investment in a solution.

Our solutions

• Custom-developed, AI-powered document automation solution to automatically process documents daily into the TMS. Leveraging Rappit Undoc “building blocks.”
• Import & export and transportation documents (e.g., AVC, CMR, Tourlist) are automatically uploaded into the solution, with up to 35 fields per document extracted, and automatically processed into Thinkwise-based TMS.
• The solution seamlessly integrates into TMS to trigger downstream processes.

• Key parameters are extracted to index transportation documents for easy search in TMS.
• Easy addition of new document templates (e.g., for new countries) with minimum effort.
• Easily expand the ERP agnostic solution with self-learning and dashboard functionality.
